Well, no, actually. Why would I?
While you're waiting, read the free novel we sent you. It's a Spanish story about a guy named 'Manual.'

The universe has only one possible way it could be, and that just happens to conspire the 1-in-a-trillion-trillion-trillion chance that random matter ends up chatting on CUK. And that's not amazing to you? I don't think you can reasonably go in that direction without invoking the infinite-universes idea, or you end up with a universe which is somehow self-directed and we're back to the question "why". IIRC Hawking (an atheist I think) has something to say on that, though I didn't read Brief History for about a decade. I think the multiverse theory is a bit of a cop-out personally but it does at least provide an answer.

...and therefore the original thread has dropped out of sight, whilst this one continues to thrive

What calibre of idiot thinks anybody ever claimed that the world was made in 7 days? It was six days, and on the seventh day God rested (and probably spent some time wondering if he'd just made the biggest mistake of his career).

I mean at least make the effort - the God card is easy pickings and even then you can't avoid getting it wrong.
Personally I believe that you being a twat has f**k all to do with the presence of a supreme being.

Aww, little spud's feeling left out of the conversation.

Not at all. Had a busy weekend and now I'm catching up on your hypocrisy.

Nothing hypocritical. You either believe in Zod or not!

But it isn't a one in trillion trillion trillion chance. It's absolutely inevitable. You don't need infinite universes, you just need to accept that things that are possible occur and things that aren't possible don't.

I think it's absolutely amazing. I marvel at it as much as anyone who attributes it to an omnipotent designer.

Look it's all fairly easy when you look at it on the basis of mathematics. The argument of 'How did it all start', 'Or how can something exist from nothing' is all mathematics.

At it's most basic 0 (nothing ) = 1 + -1. Effectively you can model, and statistically calculate everything. Everything is possible, regardless of how remotely infeasible it is.
