What salary are the "single fathers" of all these children eking out an existence on incidentally? Or should we just categorize them all as a "Lost Generation" and cough up for them also?
Or perhaps the father was a bastard and left? Does that not enter your brain at any point. Why is every single mother in your head somehow done it to themselves. The ones that I know were just left - in one case the man left on the day of birth! And the men? well they're alright...new wife, nice car, more kids..paying support? nope.

Some single mothers do fall on hard times ie husband or partner dies, but it is certainly true that for some being a single mother is a career/income choice ie you get a home and income.

Can I have some of what YOU are smoking please?

And maybe, just maybe, when the great many layabouts that are currently better off staying at home suddenly find they are NOT better off staying at home, they might get a grip of their useless socialist MPs and ask them why all of the jobs that they MIGHT have been doing for the last few years are all being done by Poles?
        You're misquoting me.

I said poor, you jump to 'being on benefits'. Then again you always were one of the CUK dunces. Poor = low paid menial as much as on benefits, and many working crappy low paid jobs are affected by these changes.

I'd not disagree that people need to be encouraged to work if they're not, through various methods. Equally I don't recall making that point ....

Anyway I thought a lot of the poles had gone because there was no work, and unemployment seems to be rising due to their being a lack of jobs ...

          So to summarise:

SB with his usual non-existent powers of analysis has concluded, with all the intellectual power of a Daily Wail journalist, that all the unemployed and/or single mothers should be able to simply walk into a job, the lazy sods.

          Hard Brexit now!

            Economics, innit.

Supply and demand. More people are demanding jobs so companies will supply them.

Men can be so irresponsible and uncaring, it seems to be in their nature. Fire and forget.

What are kids by the way? Are they the little people you see running amok in people's houses? To be honest I'm starting to feel some empathy for men now I think about it some more. Sounds like a long term commitment too, possibly years. Why do women ruin relationships by creating the little monsters?

Forget the blaming bit, we simply cannot afford to allow an ever expanding number of able bodied people to subsist on welfare, it destroys incentive in those who do try. Who can really blame them for not wanting to work hard when they see others like themselves get as much or more without trying? For dumping their elderly relatives on the state when they have paid so much with nothing in return?

Are we actually helping people on long term welfare? Are they happy? I can't see much evidence of it. I don't particularly blame them, as we are all what our upbringing made us, but If they lack discipline to obtain work they are capable of, the state should impose it on them.

So paying people less will help those earning the least?
Can you imagine the outcry if they allow those earning the lowest rates to be paid less - regardless if it gets more into work?

Here we go with the leftist inconsistencies again.

                      Thread A
There are no jobs for single mothers anyway.

                      Thread B
We need plenty of migrants to do jobs that British people won't do.

                      Repeat ad infinitum.
