It probably isn't my place to say this, but I'm going to say it anyway: administrator doesn't spend all day every day reading every single post here and weighing it in the balance. There are lots of other matters he works on, most of them irrelevant to this forum except that they subsidise it. Believe it or not, this place costs money to run, and I don't see anybody here stumping up the cash. The CUK forum is a facility provided at no charge, not a right. Admin has other work to do which helps generate the money that allows CUK to provide this facility.

That's why there are moderators: admin can't do everything (although he tries, bless him).

I'm sure that if admin had felt this particular petty spat was worth stepping into, he would have done so.

I will also re-iterate one point, but only because it seems to annoy MF so much whenever I mention it: the majority of visitors to this forum aren't registered here, and are reading stuff in the Professional forums. Those are the people who are likely to either click on the ads or follow the links in the sidebar that take them to places where CUK generates income through its affiliations with various service providers. The anonymous masses are the ones who subsidise this playground.

I still enjoy SY01 and MF engaging in these slanging matches (and at the moment I think SY01 is the winning team) but you people really should remember that General is a mere sideshow enjoyed by a few dozen people. There's very little chance that anything posted in General has ever generated sufficient income to justify its existence. Heck, there are posts in TPD that are more likely to attract Google than the juvenile squabbling that goes on in here

Anyway, you wanted the breadcrumb trail repeated at the bottom of the page? I'll get back on it, although the vBulletin folk have made that a tricky one

What custom title would you like?

Popcorn anyone? I've found a bottle of creme-de-menthe at the back of cupboard.

Grrrr. I happen to agree with NF.

General is nothing more than a distraction. It's like the equivalent of the Sun newspaper. Meaningless news about z-list posters who think they're a-listers , dumbed down news, poor sports commentry and at least once a day a thread from a massive tit. It passes the time and nothing should ever be taken personally or for real.

As for SY getting the better of me. I'll think the fact that this particular poster has spat his dummy again coupled with the strong smell of disinfectant tells another story. But then again Nick you are a bit of a Capelo!!

You post more often than that, surely?

Poor old SY, he just can't help himself. If you post offensive dross you should not be surprised in any moderated forum if you get warned. If you get picked on (it happens of course) then really you're better to ignore it because they hold all the cards. Just like real life... don't get into a fight with a policeman.

Oh dear oh dear oh dear, SY.

              'singled out'? 'vendetta'???

My advice to you is to get a sense of perspective. Go for a walk, get some fresh air, do something else this weekend - hire a boat or take a long drive in the country. Most of all, chill. It's a bulletin board. No-one's out to get you, and even if there are individuals who are, what does it matter? Why should you care?

You've been given an infraction (grammar aside) - like many, many others have in the past. It's not AIDS, or the Ebola virus, it's some kind of points system in the 'social' section of an internet forum which is largely banter and fun and a distraction from boring clients/real work.

              Get over it.

Oh, and I'm giving you an infraction for inappropriate language in the original post.

              Love you. xxx
