Back to the train journey. Today the army were building a pontoon bridge across the river. Christmas trees were being erected in both my home and work towns. Past experience suggests that it's worth attending the light switching on ceremony, as a fair amount of totty turns up.

Waited for the shops to open before setting off. Rewarded with the excellent croissants I am chomping.

9:13 train. On time. Virtually empty.

Very cheery bus driver. Everyone getting on or off the bus got an individual greeting/goodbye

No rail journey to report today due to day off.

Good job, since a goods train has been derailed, causing delays all over the place.

          everyday the same:

          Always late
Always slow (takes an inordinate amount of time to travel up the road)
          Always smells
No quiet carriages so always has at least one attention seeking student who broadcasts their every thought to the entire carriage or someone listening to drill n' bass on their ipod with the treble turned all the way up

I think I just hate the general public
sufficiently advanced stupidity is indistinguishable from malice - Asimov (sort of)

there is no art in a factory, not even in an art factory - Mixerman

everyone is stupid some of the time - trad.

My journeys usually involve me trying to read the Guardian and hoping no one will ask me to move my coat etc from the seat next to me.

Yesterday some old geezer walked up and swong his suitcase hitting my jacket while saying "Excuse me".

Today a fat smelly bint sat next to me

Let me be the judge of that.

Train 4 minutes late due to "Medical emergency".

When it got to 5 minutes late I set off for the scenic route bus instead. The train eventually set off closer to 10 minutes late so I wouldn't have made the connection.

Scenic route bus had excessively beeping doors. Should have grabbed a coffee instead.

                      Grey. Dark Grey. Slight drizzle.
