    Train on time.

Nice and sunny with slightly misty blue skies.

Nice train journey in today, same as every day. Go 1st class and arrive at work relaxed and up for it. Driving used to kill me at my last gig and even though the train journey is longer it is much less tiring and useful for a nice afternoon nap.

Fatality at Waterloo. Some selfish ******* jumped under the train in front. 53 minutes late coming in from Winchester.

Quite. The self pitying saddo just had to say "look at me" even in death.

On time. Warm. Young lady on platform wearing straw hat, which looked quite classy.

It looks like they are renovating an old pillbox down by the river.

              Bus too warm. Sun shining.

There was a train strike in Germany last Thursday and Frau D. had to come up to meet me in Köln and was a bit concerned. Apparently she has never had a better train trip, it was on time, nice and empty (i.e. the nearest person was a good few seats away so she had the 4 seats and table to herself,) for some strange reason it was a Swiss train and no-one in the station knew anything about a strike!

Attractive Spanish speaking bird (South American at a guess) was asking if she'd got the right platform for her train.

Her German was next to non existent so I tried French and English. Nope, back to German.

She showed me her ticket, pointed at the "2 Kl." (2nd class) then at the platform number overhead which did indeed say "2". Oh dear...

Fortunately the electronic sign on platform 2 then refreshed to show that she had indeed got the right platform. More by good luck than good management.

Got a nice smile and wave from her as my train pulled out from platform 3.

Statuesque platinum blond on my train with 2 large bags, which I helped her off with. From her thanks I deduced she was probably German. Nowhere near as cute as the Spanish speaking lass.

Will it be a case of third time lucky on the way home?

P.S. Train on time, bus on time, but quite frankly I wouldn't have minded if they weren't.

Train was late - so missed the change at Twickenham for a faster train into Waterloo

Got in on time anyway, tube from Waterloo to Canary Wharf was suprisingly quiet and uneventful except for one girl pretending not to understand that the line of people in front of the doors was a queue. Suffice it to say that she was unsuccessful at nipping in from the side as no one in the queue was having any of it..

Think she was a tourist or something - definitely not a Canary Wharf banker type, poor luv didn't stand a chance!

06:18 Winchester to Waterloo cancelled. As I had my bike I couldn't get on the shuttle train they laid on to Basingstoke (I'd have been stuck at Basingstoke) so had to wait for the next train at 06:48. South Western then put their youngest female member of staff on the platform who you feel really guilty having a go at.

I'm thinking about the feasibility of a 10 minute flash protest on the train home getting everyone to block the barriers for ten minutes until I blow my whistle that I will buy today. Will run off 1000 leaflets on the client's printer later and follow the conductor down the train handing them out so he doesn't see me. A call to the local press once we've left Waterloo might also be useful.

Protesting mainly about the new electronic gates they've installed but also about me missing my train.
