Why is having red hair different. Only a small percentage of the population are bipolar. Only a small percentage are red-headed. You are born with both, they are both nature not nuture.

You wouldn't let a schizophrenic adopt a child and so therefore by inference you shouldn't let redheads adopt. It's an illness surely

The only kind of view I have on the whole homosexuality thing is what has already been mentioned about such a tiny minority getting a disproportionate amout of time spent on their issues. Things have changed sooo much in the last 15 years yet all they seem to do is complain.

Well, the original post compared a mental state with a sexual preference. You might as well substitute "homosexual" for "man who likes brunettes" or "woman who likes tall men".

Ah ok I see where you are coming from there but the latter two of those are preferences. They may prefer brunettes but not all and also like people that are not. Homosexuality in the context of families and long term relationships is a set state of mind and has no bearing on 'preferences' so I say again is not a correct comparison.
