ffs
ie.
To be fair we as a society treat homosexuality differently to how we look at mental health. The concept of mental health diagnosis is built up from 100000's of questionaires into 'what is the norm'. So most people have a form of 'mental illness' on a scale. Ie. Aspergers, Bipolar etc etc.
Why is homosexuality different. Only a small percentage of the population are bipolar. Only a small percentage are gay. You are born with both, they are both nature not nuture.
You wouldn't let a schizophrenic adopt a child and so therefore by inference you shouldn't let homosexuals adopt. It's a mental illness surely? What happens in General, stays in General. You know what they say about assumptions!Comment

Nah, it's a choice. Hence the poster in the SU when I was at University. "Go on, become homosexual".Down with racism. Long live miscegenation!Comment

Yep I also think it is a choice
Mainly cos half the people I work with were 'straight' and then decided to board the other bus.
as long as an adopted child has a stable loving enivronment to grow up in the sexual preferences of the parents is not an issue.Comment

Now I appreciate we are supposed to be at the top of the food chain, so may be expected to be setting the trend. I can accept that, in many cases, it might be no bad thing for a child to have caring same-sex parents as opposed to negligent heterosexual ones.
However, what does irk me slightly is the fact that this minority seem to me to be getting a disproportionate amount of time and energy being given over to their wants and needs, often at the expense of others who are equally well suited to adoption.“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. To be fair we as a society treat having red hair differently to how we look at mental health. The concept of mental health diagnosis is built up from 100000's of questionaires into 'what is the norm'. So most people have a form of 'mental illness' on a scale. Ie. Aspergers, Bipolar etc etc.[/I]

Hmm, not sure I follow your "inference" there.Comment
