Does laughter, however in poor taste, inure one from the sheer horror of it all ? Should laughter be used in this way as a form of desensitisation ?

I'm not suggesting that I am an arbitrater of what people should and shouldn't do. What interests me is what they do and why they do it.

I once worked with a chap who had to crack a joke at everything in the office. Every sentence would end with a low chuckle. I used to watch him and listen to his words, study his body language and his timing, and I got the impression that he didn't have the confidence to say something, without getting some sort of comedic approval from the group.

    People watching is fascinating.
Isn't it just? It's especially entertaining from your self-appointed moral high-ground, eh BGG?

In addition to it being in HD, the further advantage is that if it actually is an RPG that someone is aiming at you, falling from the sky is less damaging than in real life.
      I'm a fan of Battlefield 2.

Where did I mention morals ?

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny sincerely exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It would be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end for they do so with the approval of their own conscience.

Also good.. I like the fact that more of the terrain is destroyable in Battlefield, but I find MW2 more slick and prefer the maps..

          XBL or PS3 Churchy?

It was handed to WikiLeaks by an anonymous source, presumably within the US military. It is freely available from WikiLeaks to anyone who wants to see it.

              Wikileaks

It's been the subject of repeated FOI requests from the french press agency whose journalists were apparently killed in the incident. Those requests have been refused by the us military.

Your whole post stinks of self-rightiousness (holier-than-thou: excessively or hypocritically pious)

                  Watched it:
                  1. Whoever made it has absolutely no skill at all. 3 minutes of very slow, very dull preamble.
                  2. They clearly thought the guys had some weapons, if you're a soldier you're probably going to be cautious when your life's at risk
                  3. They were hardly laughing and cheering. For guys in combat they seemed very calm and professional.

                      Same old record.

Do you deliberately scan anything I say for piety and self-righteousness, even when it's not there ?
