Watched it:

1. They clearly thought the guys had some weapons, if you're a soldier you're probably going to be cautious when your life's at risk
   
2. They were hardly laughing and cheering. For guys in combat they seemed very calm and professional.

Agree, yes the gunner was a bit gungho but compared to half the other US footage I've seen these guys were quite sober about it. Anyway, it's hardly relevant if they enjoying killing or not, it just grates as viewer to hear/see it.

Yes the Americans can be trigger happy, but these days it seems a fair few other nations are joining in that party.

Also unfortunately it has always happened in every conflict especially where urban fighting occurs and doubly so when guerilla tactics are employed. The difference is these days so much is recorded, filmed and instantly available, in the past this sort of incident wouldn't have come to light to upset anyone.

Civilian casualties happen in urban fights, they're utterly impossible to avoid.
