Let's have dynamic delay between posts equal to current post count - this should deal mortal wound to ze TDP abomination
I also don't think that TPD, word association or one a day post counts should count, it gives the impression that posters who have racked up 1000s of posts there are senior.
Finally I think there should be a recommendation or commend button/process that can be implemented by users in the out of bound boards. That way people like nick fitz can be thanked properly and we can differentiate between users who 'add value' and Atw

You're describing the vbulletin "reputation" feature.
"See, you think I give a tulip. Wrong. In fact, while you talk, I'm thinking; How can I give less of a tulip? That's why I look interested."
The terms and conditions of use are dated and we don't stick to them.

1. No profanity or obscenities of any kind, even written back to front or disguised with asterisks etc.
2. Be nice to each other - no personal attacks on other users.
3. Defamatory, obscene, indecent, lewd, pornographic, violent, abusive, insulting, threatening and harassing comments are not tolerated.
4. Do not stray from the discussion topic.
You're not wrong that "we don't stick to them"!!
I'm not sure I would agree with the idea that we should "modify the published rules, so that, for example, posters must have at least a tenuous grasp of reality." as someone suggested in the past.
Let me know what you would like to see on the forum
I have already provided my thoughts in a PM, but I'll post them publicly while I can:
1. Continuity of moderation. I had the same post moderated by two different people - one gave a one point infraction, one gave a one day ban. There is no continuity between what the moderators do. I agree that "Moderators define what is acceptable", a point which has been made in the past, however I disagree with any implication that moderators cannot be too aggressive in their task.
2. I notice from the PCG forums that they have a (heavily moderated) "Interesting Posts" forum so that people can highlight discussions that are on-going in other threads. Not sure how that would go down on CUK - you might end up spending too much time pointing out that what AtW had for lunch is not an interesting post
3. If the CUK get-togethers are going to be an ongoing thing, it might be worth having another subforum so that the details can be posted in there - it would remove the need to have stickys in other forums, and people then always know where to look. I missed a couple because I only really look for new posts rather than going into each forum and seeing what has been updated recently / been added as a sticky.

Rep is really good for identifying people that contribute positively.
No, it's not really good - what it's really good is expressing popular opinion, meaning that people who dare to say things majority of others don't like get their "rep" destroyed.
