In the 4.5 years that I've been posting on this board, I haven't reported a single post or asked for a single person to be banned.
I'd like to think that I am far from the only one.

I would say there are a few small issues
1) When someone posts a newb question in one of the 'serious' forums they are often flamed for not reading the available info - which is kind of fair enough BUT if I want to find out about something I will do my research but then ask some people who ahve the experience to give me the benefit of that. If in real life I asked them a question and they responded with a condesending rant, I would not ask them again -- I would go and find someone else.
Maybe in this case if you have nothing positive to say to the newb then say nothing at all.
2) General is fine - it is (from my pov) a place to come and talk bobbins about well General things -- maybe the rule in that forum is to keep it at a level you would be comfortable sitting in an office discussing. So some good natured barracking is fine -- down right insults are not. RFeasoned arguments with Facts are fine - blatantly inflmatory statements are not -- you know that sort of thing
3) Maybe Light Relief should be changed to something to indicate if a thread gets to 'Hot' for general it ends up there.
Any thats my 2 cents.Comment

They just needed a bit of information."I can put any old tat in my sig, put quotes around it and attribute to someone of whom I've heard, to make it sound true."

I am up for a re-ordering of the topics as has been mentioned. Possibly something tiered to guide new people down a tree of experience or something...
FAQ's first
Contract related area
Tech/General/light Relief at bottom
By time newer people have started at FAQ's then moved to the contract related areas and they will be ready for the social element towards the bottom.'CUK forum personality of 2011 - Winner - Yes really!!!!Comment
