You can implement positive only rep.

You can also limit it by sub-fora, so only for the serious/professional ones.

Well Im not sure how the process works, but for people like Nick who want to contribute in a 'mature' way and be recognised then I don't see the harm, while that Northern Monkey fella who seems to have a broom so far up his arse with his 'I helped someone and add value tulipe' posts soon realises what a onanist he is and gets a life.

Meanwhile I also have a number of thanks threads from newbies which are completely obscured by dickheads like Suityou who bounce around like an epileptic monkey screaming the odds over a few throw away comments in the General Forum.

Would be good if it was implemented in such a way that giving or taking rep from someone would involve losing 1 rep point yourself...

And how does MarillionFan fit into this scheme of things - dickhead or someone of Nick's stature?

I would like to see the multiple attention seeking posts moved to light relief a bit sooner. Not liking someone at work, what you had for your dinner, you're not feeling very well is not really of General interest.

Similarly if I want to read the Daily Mail I can go to their website, post something for debate ok, but just pasting articles all day with no comment makes the forum very dull.

IMHO As a general issue this site has become a clique for those who go to the socials, which is putting off other people posting in general. Perhaps there can be an area for those who know each other to talk about the price of fish and the weather.
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

I like to think of myself as a little of each. Maybe a thinking mans Chris Moyles, or a comedic Jeremy Paxman

                Specifically in General?

I disagree. A lot of contractors are soft skills people and still operating successfully as freelancers: PMs, BAs, trainers, support staff, et al.

I fail to see why having the personality of an offensive tulip needs to be the primary requisite for being a contractor.

Actually, I'd like to see the offensive tulips on the bench.

Indeed. A 'chat room' or 'chillout zone' or 'bitch area' would be useful. Somewhere where we can go to let off steam without being flamed for it.

                      Oops. Nearly forgot.

Can we have TPD back, please?
