We're currently on 4 year visas in Oz. Reason's we're seriously not considering coming back:
1. Britain's system punishes the family and treats single parents better
2. Lack of investment in the health service
3. Crazy open door policy to the EU for people with no intention of working
4. Political correctness rising to ever increasing levels of absurdity
5. IR35 and similar legislation
6. Huge debt mountain
7. Global domination of Tesco and decline of small shops
8. "5 minute" summers
9. Appalling, overpriced train service
10. General air of depression and gloom in the country
Interestingly if one sells one's property in London, one can buy a similar in Berlin (detached villa with garden in excellent area) and have a few hundred thousand K to spare.
