Thats not what people are after. Just a little respect for THEIR opinions would be nice.

I think you'll find that people disagreed more about the way in which you stated your opinion. Not necessary to be quite so rude or disrespectful of people who think it is ok to show some respect.

As for calling everyone a moron - you're making yourself look a little moronic too.

OK, let's stop calling each other names and agree to disagree. No need to call each other "moron" or "stupid" so enough of that please.

We all have a personal opinion on this and while I may not agree with some of the posts on here I will stick up for your right to say it.

I do think it is a bit cold to not be able to spare a thought for those that gave up their lives (or had them taken from them) during the wars. As I get older this kind of thing hits me even more, especially having kids it really does make you think about what those poor sods went through. My opinion is that they fought and died to give us the freedom that we have today and to overcome a truly evil regime. I personally thank them for that and believe we should remember, lest we forget. And to forget only to have this scenario replayed would surely be the most stupid thing of all?

I'm not so sure ferret. If we could try it again, this time putting more effort into the Dardanelles, and using tanks better. That might work.

                  Hey i didn't attack you.
I do find some people's emotional reaction a bit hard to understand - perhaps it proves the point that the brain-washing has worked.
Personally I think war is terrible thing and should only be undertaken when there is no other choice and in self-defence only - in which case no effort should be spared to destroy the enemy.
The only war that I can think of that fulfils this criteria is the 2nd WW.
Any glorification of war is only useful for politicians who want young men to sign up.

Perhaps you might want to reflect on the fact that it is solely due to the ultimate sacrifices made by those dead soldiers that we have a country today that still allows retards like you to even HAVE children.
Had Hitler got in then jellyheads like you from the shallow end of the gene pool would have been carving out a career as plant food. Now why don't you sod off back under the slimy rock from whence you came!!
