And not just once a year either

and as to whether war is just a part of being a human, or something that is organised by the few for profit, I think about that ice age body they found in the Alps. The one with the war arrow stuck in his shoulder.

There is a method for you to report posts which you find offensive, if the mods agree they will deal with it as they see fit.

You make a very good point, and are of course correct. Done.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

Ötzi was caught by the tax man. He'd made a few bob selling hides and skins in Italy and was rushing back to Switzerland to put his cash in the bank, then was brutally murdered by marauding inland revenue stormtroopers.

I still don't agree with your extreme attitude though.
I think at the very least it is worth remembering that especially in the 1st and 2nd WWs, there were many who were killed through no fault of their own and in the latter at least, I believe the cause was just.

People die all the time through no fault of their own, why not remember them.

I think it's because when people step up, and make a sacrifice, show courage, and live through horrors we cant imagine, and their motive is to benefit their decendants, we sort of show a bit of gratitude and respect.

Some of the stories of self sacrifice would make a brave man blanche.
