Stop trying to think for yourself sasguru, you always make a hash of it. That is just the sort of tactic that is getting our friend diestl into such bother.“The period of the disintegration of the European Union has begun. And the first vessel to have departed is Britain” -
An Infraction??
Good grief........whatever next?

Probably a good job then - any more infractions and it will lead to a ban. Please be civil to the other forum users or don't bother posting at all.Originally posted by shaunbhoy View PostAn Infraction??

I agree that Bliar is a hypocrite but don't blame Rememberance Day for that. Blame the illegal warmonger.Originally posted by sasguru View PostOne thing that really, REALLY wound me up about Rememberance Day, this year, is that evil koont Tony Blair was there.
That really set me thinking: what's the point of remembering sacrifice if our politicians simply start more wars (Iraq) when they feel like - then fooking turn up at a Remembrance day like the hypocrites they are.
Have to say I'm getting really ambivalent about it.My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

Then don't let them.Originally posted by sasguru View PostI have a feeling Remembrance Day is used by the establishment in this country to make war a heroic and aspirational thing, which is the exact opposite of what it should be.My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

I am pleased you find it hard to understand because, trust me, if you had friends or family who were intimately involved you would know exactly why this day is important to people (and no, it has nothing to do with "brainwashing").Originally posted by sasguru View PostI do find some people's emotional reaction a bit hard to understand - perhaps it proves the point that the brain-washing has worked.
And I wouldn't wish that on anyone, not even you.Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - EpicurusComment

I didn't attack you. But that might change:Originally posted by Diestl View PostThanks you are the first to not attack me.
I find that hard to believe unless you are either sociopathic or simply without any shred of humanity. The Great War has no meaning to you at all? Do you know much about it?Originally posted by Diestl View PostWhy? One day is no different to the next. I think its time we forgot, WW1 has no meaning to me and never will, just like some ant dying in a rain forrest in 1910 has no meaning.
Ferret let you off lightly, methinks.Originally posted by Diestl View PostShut up you brainless moron, your the obeying some pointless routine every year because you are told to. I take it you read the Sun.
Anyway, hello, real_Diestl.
Having a good Thursday? You are probably aware that yesterday, Wednesday the 11th, you left your PC unattended. You may want to change your password. Either a colleague or one of your children has been posting on CUK in your name.

Come on, I got everyone through a boring Wednesday. Tomorrows thread - Why I didn't care when princess Diana died.Originally posted by RichardCranium View PostI didn't attack you. But that might change:

I'll join you on that one. What a vacuous waste of oxygen she was. People's princess, my arse.Originally posted by Diestl View PostTomorrows thread - Why I didn't care when princess Diana died.
Still, there's one thing to thank her for. If you ever want a teddy bear cheap, there'll be one tied to a lamppost at a dangerous junction nearby. That started with her.My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment

Bollards, as usual from you. My family have a long tradition in the army and never went for this remembrance malarkey. It's an emotional thing, not a logical one, IMO. I don't think it accomplishes anything much for the positive, but fair play if people want to remember these things and do ceremonies, etc, but let others have their own (probably more logical) view too. Emotions are so often a force for evil.Originally posted by PM-Junkie View PostI am pleased you find it hard to understand because, trust me, if you had friends or family who were intimately involved you would know exactly why this day is important to people (and no, it has nothing to do with "brainwashing").

It happens every year on here. Someone dares to speak out against the status quo and makes himself such an easy target that eventually someone, you in this instance I believe, comes out of the woodwork to begin the lynching. Diesel is probably the bravest of the lot of you.
