You're just arguing over semantics and not addressing the point.

The black death didn't kill millions across Europe because of an Arch Duke getting offed, or power games amongst the European elite.

      Indeed, it is that.

The ability to argue over remembering those that died for their country. Wow.

Is there nothing everyone agrees on!?!

Ah well. C'est la CUK, I guess...

I blame a programming fault in that damned Black Monolith.

Thank flip the secretly Catholic warmonger Bliar didn't get the chance to use it against the Moslem Arabs.

I had a horrific fear after 2001 we were going to repeat events of 1,000 years ago.
Didn't Arnie want to make an epic about The Crusades?

Dunno which one though, there were so many to choose from.

Presumably one with a lot of blood.

          Spoiled for choice there then.

No you're missing the point which is that that that the politics you mention that causes wars is as natural and innate as a virus or disease. Both kill millions and both cannot be changed as they are part of the human condition.
If you could abolish politics and power (which is what wars are ultimately about) then we could have a genuinely communist society that would work, but you don't think that's possible, do you?
            Hard Brexit now!

Looking at some of the comments on this thread, on this of all days, there are certainly some pretty disgusting people on this forum.
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God? - Epicurus

Why? One day is no different to the next. I think its time we forgot, WW1 has no meaning to me and never will, just like some ant dying in a rain forrest in 1910 has no meaning.

I didn't mention any names....how revealing that you assume I was referring to you.

I suspect you are one of the many pathetic little lowlifes who get their sad little jollies out of trying to wind people up. I pray that you never find out exactly WHY this day is so important to so many people.

I think you're in the minority. You won't be persuading me either.
