Keep working if the work's there... build up some funds. Plus, by the time you've helped them ease in a permie, you'll have been there maybe 3 months and it won't look very short on your CV for future insurance sector work... when asked you simply say "I sorted out several serious problems and got it to the state they felt comfortable to use a permie longer-term".

Not yet. Interview on Wednesday. I know it's not ideal. Had a heart to heart with the war office, and even if it means bench time then so be it.
