FFS what a gang of screaming nancys. I blame TV adverts and the inane media for creating a nation of tossers terrified of 'kin door handles - just take a look at yourselves. I always wash my hands after using the bogs, but I don't go around assuming all door handles are a deadly biohazard FFS!

I'd be more worried about the failure of my anger management classes than biohazards in your shoes.

Aha! But you're seriously underestimating the chutney spoon hazard.
        Who's the fool now, eh?
        Hard Brexit now!

The point is, if most people don't wash their hands, you might as well not bother. You'll end up dirtier from the door than before you washed.

Indeed - I always make sure there's a good wad of paper towel between my mitt and the door handle. I never used to be this neurotic but I really don't want to get that norovirus. Ever.

I am using the elbows for that purpose. Old style taps are tricky though ..

Just wash the tap as you wash your hands.

You 'dined' in a cupboard? Nice.

The problem is that some muslims are thus refusing to abide by hygiene regulations, which will have knock-on effects for us all. Not all hospitals will have non-alcohol based hand lotions and I would not expect them to, so if they refuse to use the lotions it will help to propagate MRSA germs etc.

It's just the thin end of an unhygienic wedge.
