Next Friday lunchtime, phone the nearest Pizza Hut to the gig and order ten large pizzas for delivery to the office in his name. His boss willl just think its another thing he has done without authority and everyone there will have a free lunch. Sweet.

As for Curry's; I just spent 20 training their 'expert' on networking options. He'd never heard of a dedicated hardware firewall. Or using a PC with two network cards as a firewall. Or that a PC can run NAT software. Or having a Wi-Fi router connected to a LAN and not connected to a wall socket provided by an ISP.
I came out of there empty-handed too.
Hey ho.
Maybe I should be applying for shop work.
I've just spent some time finding out what that lot meant.

Went to PC World too. Browsed in there for half an hour and came out with... nothing! So that was a win. It'll save me taking anything back on Monday.
Has anyone, anywhere, ever bought anything from PC World and had it just work? I don't mean 'only just' work. I mean function 100% as promised. My all-time favourite Dilbert cartoon, this is: BTW, a Dumpster is a brand of skip, I think.Comment
