EADS.
There was no Irish Bar in town when I was there.
Visited most pubs in the cobbled area. Loved the mexican and the little rock bar down the bottom.
Had a lovely pad overlooking the danube opposite the Movenpick hotel.

I lived in the Fischergasse.

What about "Capo's"? Did Erny show you his tattoo?

That used to be my weekend pattern when I lived in Ulm.

Only been there once, about '91 to see David Bowie's last gig (apparently.) Drove down in a 1972 Merc 350 SLC with a couple of Czech guys one of whom didn't speak any English or German and crapped himself everytime I went over 200.

Had a lovely weekend in Brixham planned. Till we got the forecast...

Wind, waves and swell too big, probably won't be fit to dive till Tuesday...

That is another no. It is like we lived in different towns.
Never was good at remembering names of pubs and bars though. There was a good Indian (for Germany) there above the shops opposite the Rathaus.

There didnt seem to be much of an expat community there when I was there either. I didnt go out drinking that much as the wife was accompanying me at the time. Went out for dinner more than drinkies.
I did like the place though. I must go back and visit the local jeweller. He made and sold his own very distinctive watches.

Well, I was young(er) free and single. There were quite a few of us from Nokia who used to meet up after work and get blootered. The Winter Market was fantastic - apart from being 20 degrees below freezing!

My favourite shop was the "Camel" shop. That and the "Model Railway" shop.

I like German Xmas markets and Ulm had a good one.
There were a few of us Brits at EADS. We did the usual contractors Wednesday night out too.
Did you go to the top of the Church tower? Did you ever spend a night in the crooked hotel? Schiffes Haus I think. That is a wierd experience.

Didnt meet a Bill but there was a UK registered orange lotus esprit turbo knocking around. Does Bill have a surname? I share a surname with a Scot named Bill who I seem to be following around EADS germany.

I prefer buddy diving though if there are odd numbers on the trip am prepared to join a pair (I lead though..).

I have been known to enjoy the odd solo dive, however...
