I'm sure you've resisted the urge to jam this particularly nice news firmly in the eye of the Agent that tried to place you at the massively lower figure.
Haven't heard from you from you for a while - trust you are OK!
To be honest I've been feeling a little less than my usual optimistic self just lately and I haven't felt like posting much. I've been on the bench for several months now.
I had the interview from hell on Tuesday and walked away from it feeling like tulip - only to have a job offer the next day, so I'm MUCH better now.
Although I have no idea what the project is as they couldn't tell me in the interview - or they'd have to shoot me
I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

Always a tough one this as agent 2 may be more on the mark rate wise and all agent 1's CVs go straight in the bin when cheaper bodies are on offer. On the other hand agent 2 might be trying to take you to the cleaners !
The 2nd is much more likely (though I have been shafted by the 1st in the past). Negotiating the rate to you is the pivotal part of the action for an agent: that's where he determines how much income he gets. Unfortunately he does it more often than you, with better knowledge.
