No that is a magic poo. One where you know you have done it but it is nowhere to be seen. The best ones are those which leave no trace on the bog role either.
Rule Number 1 - Assuming that you have a valid contract in place always try to get your poo onto your timesheet, provided that the timesheet is valid for your current contract and covers the period of time that you are billing for.

    I preferred version 1!

And how do you know that the second agent is not pocketing the extra £150 a day? - providing the role actually exists, of course!
The higher rate is around the market rate for the job.

Yes you are an idiot. The second agent could now bad mouth you to the client.
Could say that they have worked with you in the past and you were unprofessional/trouble maker etc

So what would your answer be, that I let both represent me for the same job?
I would not knowingly do that as it is unprofessional and counter productive.

I have seen two agencies advertise the same non-existent roles before, this is nothing new.

"It gets worse. Agent 1 may not have even sent your CV. Common way of reducing competition by saying they are submitting you. You then tell all other agents you've already been submitted. Agent 1 then gets a free pass for his favoured candidate."

Its the way of the contracting world I'm afraid.
I'm sorry, but I'll make no apologies for this

So do you recommend letting the agent put you forward multiple times, then? Or just say that you're not interested in that particular role?

I've been rung twice this afternoon for the same role, which I spoke to an agent about yesterday. I've told the two agents this afternoon that I'm already in - I guessed the client based on the location, and that's as far as the chat went with each of them.

Had the same thing yesterday and did the same as you.

Multiple representation is not a good thing.

look, there is no right answer to a situation like this, there are too many permutations. You just have to adopt a strategy and stick to it

if it doesnt work, change it
