They charged me £170 for gas for the last quarter, Outrageous!
The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

At the risk of inciting an argument....
"Outrageous"........... Is it?? How much gas did you use?
It is not possible for us to agree that its outrageous unless you provide some measure to judge against.
eg "They charged me £170 for gas for the last quarter and I don't even have a gas supply" - WOULD be outrageous
Whereas "They charged me £170 for gas for the last quarter and I only use gas to kepp my outdoor swimming pool at aconstant 25C" - wouldn't be!
Just wrote to my Gas and Electric provider to complain about their prices. Really bugs me how the energy companies are ripping off the public.
And complaining is going to achieve.... what exactly? The only way they will take your complaint seriously is if you became a majority shareholder in the company and force them to drop their pants a few times.
If your company is the best place to work in, for a mere £500 p/d, you can advertise here.

We each do what we can. Doing nothing is not an option I wish to contemplate.

Well, two years ago it would have been less than £100 for the same moderate useage. I have yet to meet someone who considers current pricing reasonable.

If a company starts getting complaints from a majority of customers the upper management is likely to be shaken, or an outside agent will take notice and do something.
But don't gas/oil companies buy months and months ahead of time, and are only just starting to get the low prices about now?
I feel really sorry for pensioners on a meagre income. How are they supposed to heat their houses at current rip off rates?
..expects some geek to mention Natural selection and supply and demand

Eon sent us a letter saying that our direct debit was going up to £497 per month last week.
Last year they wanted to increase it to £2000+ per month!
