The trouble with the 'political correctness gone mad' brigade is they forget how far we have come by having a bit of sensibility.
Full text hereI’m thirty-eight, and old enough to remember comedy, and life in general, before political correctness. At secondary school in the midlands in the early 80’s, our maths teacher, who was a genuinely nice man, would routinely refer to the one Asian boy in our class as ‘The Black Spot’, fondly imagining this was in some way inclusive, like some pocket calculator wielding version of David Brent ™ . And the idea of a comic performer like Little Britain’s Matt Lucas being openly out would have been unimaginable, however absurdly camp his onstage persona. - Stewart Lee 41st best stand up ever.Last edited by gingerjedi; 11 December 2008, 13:21.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

Christmas is evil because it glorifies obesity and big white beards.Originally posted by Spacecadet View PostJust saying "christmas is evil" is a pointless statement made for effect and as such doesn't even warrant a response
"Christmas is evil because <insert a reason here>" would be a better start"Experience hath shewn, that even under the best forms of government those entrusted with power have, in time, and by slow operations, perverted it into tyranny. "
