Bombay under siege as terrorists seize hostages

Indian police and commandos fighting terrorists - who have killed 101 people - have launched an operation to free hundreds of foreign hostages from Bombay's luxury Trident Oberoi Hotel.

I wonder if this will have any impact on outsourcing.

    Milan.
Were the attacks perhaps carried out by the Pakistan IT Contractors Mujahadeen, having seen all their work outsourced to Mumbai for the last 5 years?

Simplest way of getting global news coverage, a few dead brown people might not even make the front page out of India

Barclays have announced a travel ban for staff to Mumbai! I bet they were queuing up to go as well.

Anyway they are not towels, they are little sheets, folded over.

In future please refer to them as little-sheet-heads

Quite unlike here where our chiefs keep firmly out of harms way. Respect to them.

The head of Mumbai's anti-terrorism unit and two other senior officers are among those killed, officials say

The people that have committed this atrocity are clearly peeved off at something. If, as I've seen suggested, they are after publicity and are willing do die for it...

why don't we let their views be heard, even if we may not agree with them?

We might even find we agree with them.
