Indian police and commandos fighting terrorists - who have killed 101 people - have launched an operation to free hundreds of foreign hostages from Bombay's luxury Trident Oberoi Hotel.

BBC news channel reports the attackers were seeking out people with UK/USA passports, in hotels, restaurants etc.

Simplest way of getting global news coverage, a few dead brown people might not even make the front page out of India

The people that have committed this atrocity are clearly peeved off at something. If, as I've seen suggested, they are after publicity and are willing do die for it...
