The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.” -

Many skilled tradesmen do that, as us contractors do. Nothing to stop the unskilled doing it too. E.g. Sainsburys pay distribution staff 30k plus for a relatively easy unskiled job, that's a fair bit more than minimum wage. If you a lazy or flipless barsteward you get rewarded as such on the whole.
It's not going to be so easy in this recession because so many jobs are done at lower wages by Poles, and unemployment will be much higher. How many Poles or other immigrants did we have in Thatcher's Britain ? Oh for a return to those halcyon days !!!!Comment

Nowhere near the estimated 5 million immigrants that Labour have added to the population in the last 10 years. That's a ticking time-bomb because they will be keeping their jobs on lower wages while the Brits are losing theirs.Comment
