Mate, cruel to be kind here....

Retail Therapy? What a crock of Sh*t. This is your second mistake and you're learning nothing from the experience.

First, you take your eye off the ball about your finances.
Now, you're mindful to "spend before you get it". a bit premature don't you think?

OK, lets say you get it back and you spend a few £K on odds and sods.
After a few weeks, thi "retail Therapy" feeling will rub off and you will have less money.

Consider this - If the money had been in another safer bank, you probably wouldn't be driven to "spending" it now?

The lesson learned should NOT be "lets spend it while I've got it".
It should be, what it always ever should be.
"How do I grow this and keep it safe so I'm free"

      Get a grip lad.

      Glad for you though

I heard they were ready for action, the money is in the Mrs name and no emails as yet !? Sounds like they will pay it out via the usual website.

The question is, (very "on topic" I know ) but were any contractors caught by the Icelandic Banks collapsing?
Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyone

Mrs has had her email from FSCS but I have not had mine yet. We had the same amounts in there so am sure mine will come through in good time. Advice somewhere was to wait until Friday and if not had email by then to call them.

I got my email yesterday, Hotmail classed it as spam and placed it in my Junk folder, might be worth checking there.
