Currently reading the Starman's Quest by Robert Silverberg. He wrote it at age 19, but it's not a bad yarn nonetheless. Glimpses of the genius to come.

    Gutenberg Project, so free.

Just downloaded all the Poul Anderson stories they have on their.

    Who needs Oxfam.

The other option is paper recycling.

Bummer. The Oxfam shop I donate to is a bookshop, there's another Oxfam shop in Swansea which is more general.

Plenty of books in charity shops in Neath.

PDF is quite possibly the worst format for documents. Gutenberg provide in Epub format.

Btw - I'm from Yorkshire. Could be worse. Could be Scottish. ;-)

It did Off to Oxfam with it.

Next: "The Dark Side of the Earth" by Alfred Bester: and lo! this one shares many stories with the afore mentioned: should be a quick read. .

I don't think I've ever encountered* a set of books that share so many of the same stories between them. Must have bought them over the years without realising.

*Well I have now: the Heinlein collections of short stories: see later. And the Asimov short stories.

If you had been bothered to look properly, you'd have seen that they're also in Epub.
                    but you're from Yorkshire, so.......

East Ridings of Yorkshire isn't real Yorkshire. We want nothing to do with them but they've been lumped on us since 1996. We aren't very good with change up here so proper Yorkshire folk still haven't gotten used to the fact it's supposed to be included in the 'Yorkshire' moniker.
