Terrible Films

But the most recent god awful film was David Lynch's "Inland Empire"... I defy you to watch that from start to finish; it made NO sense even if you attempted to analyse it at a very abstract level.

Gets lots of great reviews on IMDB however you don't seem the pretentious type so I'll trust you on this one and skip it!

But I like the matrix sequels ( you have to watch 2 and 3 consecutively ), and AI. AI is a deeply flawed film, but it's great science fiction. The original Solaris - Russian version - is far better than the Hollywood attempt.

It's often the case that good science fiction doesn't make for a popular film. Probably because your average film buff is just too thick to understand it.

I'm sure we've done this quite recently, but ho-hum, the three worst films so far for me are;

1. Solaris
2. Memento
3. The big Lebowski

Memento - I bought it last week on recommendation, yet to watch

U571, Pearl Harbour and Braveheart deserve a special mention for rewriting history.

Throw in Enigma and Rob Roy into that category.

I managed that with LOTR. I'm not sure what was more annoying, the movie or the cretins from Stoke who were in the cinema. I defy anyone to go to the Stoke odeon and not come out weeping - these morons think they are in their living room.

I'd forgotten LOTR. That was boring as hell: don't know how I managed to sit through the whole 3 hours. Worst of all was hearing all the people talk about it as "the new Star Wars" etc.

Much worse than I remember, but not anything like as bad as Space Mutiny!

They try to make films as dark as possible now to foil the pirates. Dark films make bad copy
