My sister was, and possibly still is, a member of Mensa. She kept it quiet from the rest of the family for nearly fifteen years, fearful of being mocked, until her husband accidentally mentioned it.
But being intelligent, considerate folk, we just shook our heads sadly, and agreed not to embarrass her by ever bringing the matter up again.Comment
