On what basis are IT workers above average? For me this industry is populated by awkward, bumbling baffoons and you my friend are king monkey. -
Ok sunshine, here we go. This is an "IT Contractors Forum", populated by IT contractors(ex, current and wannabes), IT Consultants, Rec Cons, and jobbing carpenters/lisping idiots like yourself.Originally posted by HRH View PostOn what basis are IT workers above average? The very fact that someone decides to move from a salaried role to that of a contractor or consultant marks them out as being "above average". Above average intelligence probably, above average income usually but one thing is for certain, they are not average.
I'm surprised you couldn't work that one out for yourself.Comment

If I tell you, it'll spoil it. One day, when you least expect it, you'll get a flash of inspiration.Originally posted by TheFaQQer View PostI'm intrigued.
Maybe it's my sheltered lifestyle, but what can one do with a fizzy drink and / or a duffel coat? The rest I can understand
And wish you'd rather not have known.

Jonathan, you're covered by the "Lisping Idiot" category, if you deem that a vote of confidence, then great.Originally posted by HRH View PostYAWN-mark I am a contractor at a large IT services provider.... Thanks for the vote of confidence!

Well Churchill is certainly above average height, and even accounting for this, he is well above the average weight too!Originally posted by Churchill View Postmarks them out as being "above average".
And that's made me remember to mention, that due to your weight you maybe wanna watch out for them off-camber bends in your R8. That mini round-about next your gaff: I can foresee a bent railing or two...

Exactly. I bet most regular posters here could breeze into Mensa. But it's a bit like joining the BCS - There may be a few sound people one could meet, but a good many members are probably pain-in-the-ass quarrelsome egotists or (more the case of Mensa) borderline autistics.Originally posted by Churchill View PostWhy would you feel the need to explain that your IQ was "above average" to a forum populated by IT workers who are all probably above average anyway?Comment
