A friend of mine got "addicted" to training. To the point where the doctors ordered her not to exercise for a year. So yes, it can happen. -
I think we must share the same friend.Originally posted by Sockpuppet View PostA friend of mine got "addicted" to training. To the point where the doctors ordered her not to exercise for a year. So yes, it can happen.

Yep. That's why I love skiing. Which is the best fun you can have with your clothes on. And why I love sex - the most fun you can have with your clothes off (or on, with appropriate ventilation ).Originally posted by SallyAnne View PostHi all,
Is there such a thing as an exercise high?
I was on the treadmill, about 17 minutes into a very sweat prudcing sprint/stop routine, when my whole body went kind of numb and I felt amazing...like floaty, and a litte bit acid trippy!
It was amazing!!! I honestly felt more pleasant than I ever have before.
Is this normal? Or was I pushing it too much and have just had a very pleasant stroke of some kind?

It's the way you feel afterwards that makes the differnce, and that's a feeling worth exercising for.Originally posted by SallyAnne View PostIt sounds like it's really got a hold of you scooter?

Not a myth, but does take a really enormous amount of exercise to get it. Last time it worked for me was running about for 90 mins in a football match about 15 years ago. 20 mins running or in the gym doesn't do it.bloggoth

Depends. Have about 15 pints, a bit of wacky backy and only about 2 hours sleep and then play rugby. The effect kicks in after about 5 minutes.Originally posted by xoggoth View PostNot a myth, but does take a really enormous amount of exercise to get it.
