Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave Johnson -

So that's an acceptable way for British people to behave is it?Originally posted by M_B View PostYes.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? The point I am making is that whatever ones faith the rules apply equally both ways to all people. If you and I are conscripted to fight, we fight. If we learn A level English so does everyone. if the history A level is causes of the first world war then it is the same for everyone. If someone wants their syllabus to be about what Rob Roy and Genghis Khan liked doing with sheep then do it in your own time. If you dont like watching songs of praise on BBC1 then do what I do and watch a porn video instead. If England are playing France at football as opposed to UAE vs Iran then tough. You dont have to watch or support either but if your complaint that not enough tv is devoted to Muslim/Hindu/Catholic channels is turned down , dont be surprised if your subsequent protest of "call for jihad" lands you in the middle of Syrian desert.Originally posted by BrowneIssue View PostBut I won't and I was born here. What are you going to do about that? Life internment? What are you planning? A fascist military dictatorship?
Following your previous ruling of compulsory conscription, that's hypocrisy.
Great idea. Everyone equally stupid, ignorant and indoctrinated. Like the Merkins.
Catholic or Protestant? They are not compatible.
If you are going to cover your wife in a hibab, habib or whatever dont be surprised if some hairy arsed lesbian calls you a chauvanist in the street.
Women in Britain get drunk and expose themselves in public, you can complain all you like but dont expect any sympathy if you blow yourself up in a crowded soho bar.
And it may have escaped your attention but no one has been conscripted for the Iraq war.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

Obviously not if they are British. Do you think that represents the feeling of the majority of British born muslims ? If not, what do you think it does represent ?Originally posted by gingerjedi View PostSo that's an acceptable way for British people to behave is it?Comment

So are you saying that people should be allowed to call for acts of violence for mocking their religion? Or are you being fair and equitable and saying that the same law should apply to the mocking of all religions?Originally posted by M_B View PostYes.Let us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment

A criminal act? if these people were rounded up and placed in front of the courts (in the same way that neo nazi skinheads preaching death to jews would be) then presumably neither you or the vast majority of muslims would object?Originally posted by M_B View PostObviously not if they are British. I don't suppose you could elaborate on this could you? Places and times, whether it is tops and bottoms, etc. Is it mostly only performed by uglies?Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostWomen in Britain get drunk and expose themselves in publicComment

I'm saying muslims should be allowed to call for prayer.Originally posted by DodgyAgent View PostSo are you saying that people should be allowed to call for acts of violence for mocking their religion? As regards the seperate issue of 'mocking religions', I believe all religions should be the subject of freedom of speech. However I myself would not use that freedom to deliberately offend a religion, but I would defend my right to do so should I wish to. The same goes for holocaust deniers - think they are loopy myself, but the law in Austria\Germany preventing the publication etc of material against the holocaust is just as ridiculous.Comment
