I've mentioned the Forester in another thread. I'd have one too if I could justify it in London. I like thae fact that's it's ugly but goes like stink. Character car.

I showed the wife some pictures of a Forester in the hope of approval but she wasn't too impressed, she wants me to get another Audi... an RS4 would be nice but a 2.0 TDI is about as far as the budget would stretch... boring.
Now looking at a Legacy 3.0R spec B, I'll see what she says about that.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? I say: why not marry safe science if you love it so much. In fact, why not invent a special safety door that won't hit you in the butt on the way out, because you are fired. - Cave JohnsonComment

Super car, another hugely underrated option. It was a toss-up which I went for, but the Forester is ultimately the more practical choice for what I need. The Legacy is about £2-3k more than the Forester of the same age, but is every bit as good, well-equipped, driveable and finished as a 5-series.Originally posted by gingerjedi View PostI showed the wife some pictures of a Forester in the hope of approval but she wasn't too impressed, she wants me to get another Audi... an RS4 would be nice but a 2.0 TDI is about as far as the budget would stretch... boring.

I just refuse to have anything that could be mistaken for a run of the mill company car.Science isn't about why, it's about why not. You ask: why is so much of our science dangerous? Definite shortage of IT contractors owning convertibles. Is it cos they is all ugly (contractors, not convertibles)?Comment

Im thinking of having a conversion done on My Ambassador Vanden PlasThe court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”Comment

IT contractors apply logic. We have a rubbish climate ergo no convertibles.Originally posted by DimPrawn View PostDefinite shortage of IT contractors owning convertibles. Is it cos they is all ugly (contractors, not convertibles)?
Oh, and they're for vain poofs too.

It's great when the summer months are here (there's nothing better than the sound of the V8 with the roof down). But rubbish in the winter, so I'll be getting shut of the S4 at the end of next year I reckon.
I wouldn't have another convertible now I've had one. Thinking of swapping it for a Range Rover sport.Eat Right, Exercise, Die Anyway.Comment
