The fact that they hadn't showed any emotion.

In public, no. In private - who knows?

The fact that they were playing tennis 2 days after she vanished.

Actually - Gerry played tennis, allegedly (According to one waiter). And not 2 days after either.

The fact that they still put their twins in daycare (with strangers ffs!) from day 2.

Can't verify this one anywhere. But even if it's true, what it's supposed to signify - they must be guilty?

The fact that they chose to leave their twins to go off round the world, even to see the pope, where it was clear that the twins would be made very welcome.

You've never travelled with kids then obviously. If the agenda is to get publicity for Madelaine, as it clearly was then dragging your kids around with you might not be the easiest or best thing to do.

The fact that Kate washed her childs toy.

Again, what's this supposed to signify - some sign of guilt? My wife washes stuff up all the time, I better start getting worried?

The fact that they didn't irrationally want to kill Murat.

How do you know they didn't? He's a suspect that's all. They're two doctors, presumably clever people, they're not going to say anything about a suspect until a conviction.

The fact that they didn't want to kill each other!! Or the managers at the complex! or their friends - how did they not kill their friend who checked on Maddy last ffs?!!

Again how do you know they didn't?

And yes, the main thing that doesn't compute with people...the fact that neither of them have had a meltdown!!! You have kids? Would you be playing tennis? Would you and your wife not be a hysterical mess on the floor?!!

People just dont get this behaviour!

Yes I'd be a mess. Yes my wife would be a mess. And yes, eventually I'd try to do stuff that took my mind off it, for me that would be physical exercise of some sort. And equally I think I'd be more similar to Gerry in thinking I had to be strong and take control and care of things, especially in public - would that mean I'd be guilty too?

It's this kind of stuff that pisses me off, it's mainly pure specualtion about two people based off lurid portugese newspaper stories that the likes of the Daily Mail etc pick up on a fuel the worst kind of public gossip. Here's an idea - what if they're innocent, can you imagine what kind of hell they're now going through - as if the initial kidnapping wasn't bad enough?

OK, ok, we all know this doesn't mean they killed her. And common sense completely rules out that whole "hiding the body for 5 weeks" theory - that was just ridiculous. But people cannot help but distrust them and feel they are hiding something.
Can see you are working class SA.

Us middle class people play tennis/squash down the club when things get tough.

      Stiff upper lip.

Not dumb. I doubt Churchill is asking for what purpose was she taken.

            Why that girl.

Why was she taken and not some other kid? Was it opportunistic? Was it planned?

Because it's something you will never know until the person who did it is caught. It serves no purpose, and as usual for you, adds nothing to the discussion.

It's Diana-itis. The notion that every tragedy must be greeted with much wailing and gnashing of teeth.
                    Hard Brexit now!

                      It adds a lot.

Firstly, who knew that there would be no parental/adult supervision of the children?
