What makes your information more reliable than mine like? I've read/heard mroe than one tale of both of them playign tenis, together, accounted by various mambers of the hotel staff (not the restaraunt staff).

We saw them doing it, every day on the news. Cameras walked them in, then walked them out. Every single day, from the start of the ordeal.

Why would you assume I hadn't travelled with children?!
Again I'm explaining to you why people are feeling the way they are. if you had one child taken, you'd freely leave your others with strangers, to make your 1st class private jet trips around the world easier? Oh come on.

Every single mother I've talked to about this has flagged this one up as being the most bizarre thing they've ever heard. That toy would have smelt of Maddeliene - why would she wash it? It just looks suspiscious. Surely if your child died/was snatched you'd want to be able to smell them? Again human nature would cling on to stuff like that. If my other half died, I wouldn't wash his shirts that were lying around on the floor! I'd hug them, smell them, cling to them for dear life!

This was based on the press conferece I saw them give 2 hours after Murat was officially named.

Again, just explaining why peopel are havign feelings based on WHAT THEY ARE SEEING.

No it wouldn't mean you'd be guilty. Much like I ended my post saying "of course this doesn't mean they did it", which you didn't choose to quote me on.
My whole post was meant to show you why people are feelinG the way they are.

One question Snaw - Are you sayin that you dont think any of their behaviour is in the slighest bit suspiscious?
I get you SA, my response was to show why in some people eyes thier behaviour can be explained quite simply without somehow insinuating they're guilty - they may well be, I prefer not to judge people until they've been proven so, not based off a few TV snippets, newspaper sensationalism and 'gut instincts'. That's my info - your info is all of the afore mentioned things.

And no I don't take it personally at all, I think I'm being quite level headed - I'd levy that accusation at you more, I'm just trying to provide a different viewpoint.

Ditto. Mind you when you are as lanky as churchill it is difficult not to have your head in the clouds to such an extent.

I only said you were taking it personally cause you said you were p133ed off at my comments.

I dont particularly think you're being level headed though - I think you're just getting a kick out of being the "nice guy". The most level headed, objective person in this situation would have to admit that they've acted oddly, regardless of what that might mean.

You're right though, I do feel really personal about this case - I'm an emotional tw+t most of time anyway to be honest. I find it hard to debate about something without emotion...as if I dont feel that strongly about something, I dont bother talking about it.

I dont know why these two get to me so much. I wouldn't normally judge people either - I didn't with Morat, and dont with most people in the news...but these two....these two just get under my skin for reasons I haven't really worked out.

(Probably cause....well.....they're rich poshies who left their ****1ng kids alone.)

The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.

But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.”

My pissed off comment wasn't directed at you specifically, it was just a general comment on how the Mcanns seem to be getting tried by public. Unfairly imo.

Honestly, no kick from being the 'nice' guy and not deliberatly trying to be so - it's genuinley what I think.

I don't feel that way about it, which is why I think I'm being level headed. I do believe this story has been in the news way too much, but we're discussing it so I'll give my opinion ;-)

Bloody men - never show their feelings...

All this aside, I do genuinely hope that she was snatched, and that they find her.

They are acting oddly because their kid has disappeared. As much as we can all speculate, how do we really know how a "normal" or "innocent" person would act in such circumstances? It depends on many things to do with the actual circumstances, upbringing (stiff upper lip type stuff), determination to find child versus pandering to cynics, strength of emotional and moral constitution etc.

Personally, I think the way they have behaved has shown that they are completely focussed on getting their daughter back and not giving in to the crippling forces of despair and anger but rather using these to drive their efforts.

I believe they have behaved admirably, shown enormous stength of character and dedication to their daughter. Most people would have collapsed in a quivering heap long before now. Maybe the qualities they show are "odd" to find in people these days and that is why people are suspicious of them?

Statistics show that the vast majority of murders (assuming she has been by now) are committed by close family members. I also remember reading somewhere that those people who are desperate to get in front of the media in this kind of situation immediately become suspects in the eyes of the investigating officers - the psychological profilers talk about using the public forum as a way of getting over guilt (think about how many times you've seen press conferences/interviews with the guilty involved - Harold Shipman, Ian Huntley, Fred & Rosemary West, etc etc). Statistical evidence demonstrates that the McCanns are highly likely to be the purpetrators...

Well then there you have it, they must be guilty, statistics say so.
