Most with a brain don't sit watching something they don't like. IMHO Top Gear is one of the few programs on TV worth watching, it's light hearted, original and funny. Love him or loathe him Clarkson is the most copied motoring journalist EVER in the world EVER, and he reinvented the TV car show formats for the second time, just when most thought the format was dead. It's light hearted p1ss taking in the true British tradition, Clarkson doesn't take himself seriously it's a shame some people have an irony/SOH bypass. The court heard Darren Upton had written a letter to Judge Sally Cahill QC saying he wasn’t “a typical inmate of prison”.
But the judge said: “That simply demonstrates your arrogance continues. You are typical. Inmates of prison are people who are dishonest. You are a thoroughly dishonestly man motivated by your own selfish greed.” -

What i like about Clarkson is that the elitist snobs of this world do not like him. because his humour appeals to such a broad section of people whether they have brains or not.
The people who do not like him tend to be those who take themselves seriously, as he constantly takes pops at those who do, from golf club members to environmentalists, to self proclaimed "intellectuals".
he is a bit irritating of late, but that is probabaly because I have watched all Top gear shows 20 times on satelliteLet us not forget EU open doors immigration benefits IT contractors more than anyoneComment
