They have Spring as an affiliate - which when you see their behaviour in the latest IR35 loss (not having back to back contracts) http://www.contractoruk.com/news/003361.html - is unacceptable. The affiliation was also rushed through without a vote by members.

There is a virtual concensus amongst PCG members that iProfiles are inconvenient at best ranging to illegal at worst (breach the DPA). The PCG STILL has done absolutely nothing about the situation other than breath a load of hot air despite promises to the contrary.

The inclusion of Parasol as a recommended umbrella was conducted in an underhand manner, again with no vote by members, and also with suspicions of nepotism.

Spring aren't affiliates, haven't been for two years when we didn't let then renew.

The people that operate iProfiles are at fault, not the PCG. We went to great lengths to help them out and they've done sod all about it.

Parasol are a commercial supplier supporting the in-house PCG Umbrella. That contract was awarded with full due diligence. PCG do not reccomend Parasol above any other similar company.

Given that you are now one of the elected "elite" of the PCG, I think that comment says everything that I feel about the PCG. It's a social climbing network for the likes of you, and does not actually represent the contractor on the ground.

They seem to be corrupt. Their lawyers messed up the appeal thing.

They are divisive and seem to operate scams, e.g. when I looked they offered discount insurance but you couldn't look at the details until after you paid.

Generally, they just don't seem to be very nice people (present company excepted).

Still a member though, mainly for the insurance.

I'm a member for the professional expenses insurance. I haven't used the site or forums that much, any questions I have I ask here.

I like the piece of mind though and the website does have some informative info.

Is the latest IR35 win (for HMRC) a loss for PCG? It says Accountax are PCG approved but does that mean they were provided to ICL through professional expenses insurance?
