How's that worked out for the push to drive Diesel Engined Cars?Originally posted by ladymuck View PostI heard an interview on R4 this morning about that. There's a lot of ifs to the report which means the headlines are not necessarily deliverable. The structural change required for some housing to work with heat pumps is massive and there needs to be a proper return on investment or else take up will continue to be dire. Electricity is way too expensive to make the finances add up.
Fining manufacturers for not selling the right stuff (heating or cars) is the wrong approach and doesn't drive demand. Supporting initiatives to make these things more attractive than the incumbent offerings is the way forward.Comment

Yeah that did rather go wonky. Wasn't that an initiative on the grounds of fuel efficiency rather than environmental? In which case, that was true at the very least.Originally posted by Zigenare View Post

I see tesla are down another 15% today. Not quite as big a drop as illegal border crossings which are down by more than one hundred percent, according to the White House. ( https://web.archive.org/web/20250227...binet-meeting/ )…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment
