And “antique” shops. All from “cash in the attic”, “bargain hunt”, “antiques road trip” - which I realise are just variations on the stalwart “antiques roadshow”

Not really. AR delights in the intrinsic and/or aesthetic value of the things people bring in, with a valuation as a side effect. The others are only interested in the hard cash value.

If you don't understand that, there's little point in arguing. Go back to your turgid cartoons.

A I said, if you don't understand what people are saying, it's best not to contribute.

FWIW this idiot has been here a very long time. You are not the first of your kind. And I'm originally from Pembrokeshire, where we dim siarad Cymreig, sadly.

We used to have several shops that sold nails and screws and bolts and such like.

All long gone now of course, though there is some sort of hardware shoppe or emporium on Windsor Road.

                      Oooer, Mrs.
If they bothered to learn their history, south Pembrokeshire was invaded by several groups over the years via Milford Haven harbour
(second deepest in the world, incidentally). I come from Waterston (English derivation), was christened in Llanstadwell Welsh), the next village across is Freystrop (Flemish) and then Llangwm (old Welsh), so the mix of place names is pretty Catholic!

The area south of Presellis and west of Carmarthen (sorry, Gaerfryddin) is the non-Welsh bit. However there is a distinct Pembrokeshire dialect ("the grip in the haggar is full", for example), and recognisd as such as a cultural item.

So we share the same hwyll as the rest of Wales, regard the Sais (which are the non-Welsh speakers, not just the English) with the same disdain, but are a separate grouping entirely.

HTH. But I really really doubt it...
