    I didn't see a similar thread already, apologies if I missed it...
    I've just finished my last working day of the year, a few hours around doing grocery shopping (think the hours covered the shopping bill!) and sent the last invoice, since I keep my own timesheets locally I can report that:

    This year I billed 1758.25 hours, spread over 239 days. Since my client closes over Xmas holidays and on bank holidays that means I took 9 days completely off. I'm actually surprised it was that many!
    This is by some margin the most hours/days I have worked.

    Off for a sherry or 9... how about y'all?

    PS: got an extension for 2025 signed on Friday

    I have a few more billing days yet. I haven't totted up the days billed but it's low, I reckon I'll struggle to reach 200 days.

      I've done 241 days so far, with another 4 to go before the end of the calendar year.

      It's nice to have the extra income, but I've only taken 10 days off since 6th April (including 3 days of bank holidays); once Christmas and New Year are out of the way (i.e. another 3 days of bank holidays), I ought to take 15 days off in the next 3 months in order to reach the 28 days of statutory leave. I assume that my umbrella company is supposed to enforce that, but I don't think they actually bother.

          Check if they pay in lieu of time off and claim it asap. Some brollies have clauses to wheedle out of paying holiday pay if you don't take/claim it within a specific period.

            In this case, that's not a problem - I get my holiday included with each week's payslip (not held back). Thank you for mentioning it, though - I wouldn't want to get caught out.
