    Wealth begets wealth, and while I'm generally a fan of capitalism, without regulation and restriction it fails to meet its own aims.
    Competition is crushed or bought up by existing players, stifling innovation, destroying competition, reducing consumer choice and increasing prices.

    Whilst I agree that having super rich people can be a challenge Musk's achievements have pushed the world forwards far from stifling innovation. Most historically super rich have done the same. America would have no finance market or railroads without.

        He has an impressive CV but many people don't actually realise:
        • he didn't invent PayPal technology or start the company
        • he didn't invent Tesla technology or start the company
        • he didn't invent Space-X technology
        • he didn't invent Twitter technology or start the company, although he managed to reduce its share value massively when he bought it
        In all those cases he just came in with funding along with other shareholders. In the case of Space-X, the US government is the major source of funding, without which they wouldn't have got a rocket off the ground.

          They probably wouldn't have market share without him.
