I still use an ancient Sony alarm clock radio that only does AM/MW/FM and doesn't even have battery back up to maintain the settings during a power cut.Comment

A useful old techy thing you can't get in the UK is a plain old stick on car compass, handy when you're just not sure where to go on some little country road junction and it's not worth digging out the satnav.
