That is another question. Hopefully we can find out what happens when the terrorists surrender or are exterminated. Will the Palestinians seek peace?
Do you mean their elected representatives Hamas (or what's left of them)? There'll probably be some sort of cessation but I doubt it will be anything like a lasting peace.
Hezbollah is a tougher nut to crack. I doubt there'll be any peace with them either.

The Palestinian people need to want peace. If at any time in the last 20 years they had told the US/UK/Israel they wanted rid of Hamas it would be done.

How do you find out if the majority want peace, or rid of Hamas?
Parliamentary elections would be a start but there haven't been any of those since 2006.

Well the way many of the occupied countries in previous wars is that the opposition parties contact the allies but as Hamas executed them all that may be a challenge. If Hamas are obliterated then the UN etc could arrange elections. No one linked to terrorism or Hamas could stand for election.
