Well like I said, it's not for everyone, but I bought it because it was a comfy 7 seater that does 0-60 in under 5 seconds. It also has a full drive train and battery warranty for 8 years and unlimited miles.Originally posted by milanbenes View Postwhy would anyone buy an electric car ?

That's comparable with the milage I got from a full tank in my petrol SLK and diesel Galaxy.

Different people have different requirements.Originally posted by milanbenes View Postwhy would anyone buy an electric car ?
Milan.
If you want something that is faster than your skoda, buy an electric one
If you want something that can be charged free from house solar panels, buy an electric car.
If your normal daily journey is less than 100 miles each way, consider an electric car.
If everybody had the same requirements, we would all be driving People's Cars, or as you might know them, Folks Wagons.…Maybe we ain’t that young anymoreComment

Good for you. I have no use for a Porsche (the SLK was a temporary stop gap until I could get something bigger) and a v8 X5 (even assuming it's a 7 seater) is completely impractical for pootling for London. It's also significantly more expensive to buy, own and drive than my Tesla. As WTFH said though.... horses for courses. And the lord said unto John; "come forth and receive eternal life." But John came fifth and won a toaster.Comment
