dunno what all the moaning is.
    Same car. Same risk.
Last year £248.09. Same company quoted a bit higher.
Money supermarket got it for £234.84 with reduced excess and an upgraded courtesy car.

Mine came through the other day at £325, up from £213. A quick online comparison shows I can get exactly the same from another reputable insurer for £224 so, while I'm seeing a big increase in proposed renewal premium, I'm not seeing a problem for my particular situation. I can probably knock my current insurer down close to that lower price, which would save me the hassle of taking out a new policy.

Sounds like you got lucky in the insurance premium lottery.

If you don't mind me asking, how old is the car and roughly how much is it worth?

I'm paying about the same as you on a 17-year old TT, worth about £3k. I got a quote for a 5-year old one (same spec/IG), worth about £18k, and the premium was more than double.

My 82-year old neighbour swapped her 17-year old (worthless) run-around for a 6-year old very similar car, and the premium trebled.

It's a '58 plate Discovery 3. Worth mebbe £3k at best but only as I have nearly new set of tyres
Nobody's gonna nick it. I'm also mid 50s so very low risk group for accidents.

Just turned 60, so similar risk profile.

I suspect they're whacking up the premiums on anything they might actually have to fork out on, rather than write off for peanuts.

Try getting a quote for a '68 Disco and it might be a different story.
