would that be an entirely bad thing, he gets stuff done and is not big on U-Turns. Imagine a Conservative party in charge of our EU relationship, reduced immigration and better business.
As for getting stuff done - yes, by lots of manipulation and outright lies, he managed to stir up enough bulls*** to persuade UK citizens to vote to leave the EU, often without really researching or understanding why, or what the likely outcome might be (this is purely anecdotal based on almost everyone I know who voted to leave). So in that respect he has the ideal profile for a Conservative MP.Comment

They are clearly having a love-in.
I hope it isn't like John Mayor and Edwina Currie, etc."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment

U-turns, which can also be described as rethinking strategy based on new information, are a mature approach to government rather than the dogmatic face-saving intransigence we've been used to for so many years. I respect politicians who have the guts to say "Maybe this isn't right and we should consider another option".

But let's at least be clear, Starmer changes his mind every 20 seconds or so depending on who he's talking to, so the current mob are not a good example of U-Turns (more a case of they say something then don't deliver it). And Labour's constant refrain of "the Tories have crashed the economy" doesn't stand up to scrutiny for a moment.Blog? What blog...?Comment
