Paris burns

RBKC was like that - my old road was all huge houses converted to flats and, whilst each block had a communal bin, all the bags of rubbish had to be taken out and put onto the pavement on bin day. TBF the bin men did that each time but every Tuesday and Friday the street looks like a right tip. -
Oh dear. Paris is such a fragmented society - much more so than London.
We all know when there is a police injustice unfortunately for many it becomes a green light to loot as we have seen many times before.
And the hard working small business owners suffer.Comment

Some places are banning demonstrations for tonight... I'm sure they'll stop torching cars and looting now it's not allowed.Originally posted by MaryPoppinsI'd still not breastfeed a naziOriginally posted by vetranUrine is quite nourishingComment

I was listening earlier to Matt Frei on LBC his guest was a female journalist who had lived in Nantes. She and Frei were saying there are no go areas in France with armed informal militia The Police seem to have lost the streets and this is probably the result.
Sadly it seems the UK is headed the same way with machete fights, no go areas with religion, guns & drugs.
Not sure the institutionally racist bunch realise the mess they are making.Comment

That been called out a few times over the years. Last time I heard about "Zone urbaine sensible" (which aren't all no go zones but many are), I remember many of the reporters claiming no go zones didn't exist and if they did it would only be because of institutional racism.Originally posted by vetran View PostI was listening earlier to Matt Frei on LBC his guest was a female journalist who had lived in Nantes. Not really a surprise that French National Front got 41% of the votes last presidential election and holds 30%+ for the last decade.Comment

I just saw a clip on twatter of shop keepers protecting their property from looting with baseball bats and sticks.
All parties looked white.
In other clips the looters are an ethnically diverse and aged bunch.
So it appears people are just using it as an excuse to steal."You’re just a bad memory who doesn’t know when to go away" JRComment
